Federal grand jury indicts Trump strategist Steve Bannon for contempt of Congress

A federal grand jury has indicted former Trump aide Steve Bannon for criminal contempt of Congress, the Justice Department announced Friday.
The indictment comes three weeks after the House of Representatives voted to hold Bannon in contempt for failing to cooperate with a subpoena from the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol by supporters of former president Donald Trump.
